Reports photo and video sharing service Instagram wasn't functioning for part of Saturday led a stampede of users to gripe on Twitter.
Twitter saw a rise in thousands of users complaining they weren't able to share their moments on Instagram, many using the hashtag "#instagramnotworking."
Instagram also took to Twitter itself to give users an update on its reported outage. At roughly 1 p.m. ET, the company tweeted "We're working to fix a feed delivery issue. Thank you for your patience," on its official Twitter feed, @instagram.
Social media denizens seemed to find humor in the faux severity of the problem.
"It's officially the end of the world. No one will know because #instagramnotworking and nothing is official unless it's posted on #instragram,"
